Can I book a 28+ night stay directly through your website?

Yes, most 28+ night stays can be booked right on our website. For Placemakr Wall Street and Placemakr Downtown Pittsburgh, you can book directly by emailing our sales team at sales@placemakr.com.

How old do I have to be to book and stay with Placemakr?

To book and stay with Placemakr, you must be at least 21 years old.

 

However, for Placemakr Buzzard Point, we require additional age-related criteria:

  • The primary guest checking in must be at least 25 years old.

  • At least one guest who is 25 or older must be present throughout the entire stay.

These requirements are strictly enforced at check-in. Be sure to bring valid government-issued ID for age verification. Reservations that do not meet these criteria may be denied entry without a refund.

What amenities can I expect during my stay?

Every stay includes the essentials: fully furnished spaces with a kitchen or kitchenette, high-speed Wi-Fi, and in-unit or on-site laundry. Most locations also offer building amenities like fitness centers, lounges, rooftops, and co-working spaces or quiet areas designed for remote work.

Is there housekeeping?

Yes. Weekly housekeeping is included for stays of 7 nights or more. Additional cleanings are available for a fee if you’d like more frequent service. Unlike vacation rentals, there’s no checkout chore list — just a simple, easy departure when you're ready to go.

Are pets allowed?

At most of our locations, yes! Placemakr is dog- and cat-friendly, with flexible policies designed to welcome your four-legged companions.

 

Please note that 2500 Penn, a Placemakr experience and Placemakr Downtown Phoenix are not pet-friendly.

 

Pet fees and restrictions vary by location, so be sure to check the individual listing details before booking. Service animals trained to perform specific tasks to assist a person with a disability are always welcome.

Stay a few nights, a few months, or longer. We offer flexible daily, weekly, and monthly rates with savings for extended stays. Since we manage the building directly, extending your stay is simple if plans change.

Can I extend my stay if needed?

Yes. In most cases, extending your stay is simple — just connect with the on-site team or guest support. Since we manage the building directly, we can usually accommodate changes quickly and seamlessly.

Who do I contact during my extended stay if I need help?

All extended stay guests have access to 24/7 guest support via text, phone, or email. On-site teams are also available at most properties to assist with:

  • Lockouts

  • Local recommendations

  • Amenity access

What forms of payment are accepted at Placemakr for extended stays?

We accept all major credit cards—including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. You can also pay for your reservation online using Apple Pay or Google Pay.

 

We don’t accept prepaid cards, gift cards, or virtual bank cards at this time. If you have any questions about payment, we're here to help.

Are there discounts or special rates for longer stays?

Yes. We offer weekly and monthly rates with built-in savings for extended stays. Weekly and monthly rates start at 15% off for guests staying 7+ days. 

Are there any extra charges or fees?

No surprise fees here. What you see is what you get.

Here’s what’s always included:

 

  • High-speed Wi-Fi

  • A stocked space with essentials—including kitchenware and in-unit or on-site laundry*

  • Weekly housekeeping for stays of 10 nights or longer

Need extra cleanings? You can add à la carte service anytime for $119 per visit.

When will my card be charged?

If your reservation didn’t require payment at booking, your card will be charged the day before check-in.

 

If you selected an Advanced Purchase rate, payment is collected at the time of booking and is nonrefundable. This rate does not allow for changes or cancellations, and your advance payment will serve as the cancellation fee.

If I'm staying more than 28 nights, are there monthly payment installments?

What do I pay at booking?
You’ll pay the first 28 nights of your stay.

 

When are future payments due?
You'll be charged in 28 night increments on a rolling basis based on booking date. Seven days before each subsequent billing period, we'll run your card.

 

Can I update my payment method?
Yes. Update through your Placemakr Account or visit the front desk with your card.

 

Can I split payments across multiple cards?
No. Monthly installment payments require one card on file.

 

Can I cancel my monthly stay?
Yes.

• Cancel 28+ days before arrival for a full refund of the first payment.

• After that, first payment is non-refundable.

• After 28 nights stayed, cancel with 7 days’ written notice before your next billing date.

 

What if I need to leave early?
After the first 28 nights, you may leave at any time with 7 days’ written notice.

 

What happens if my payment fails?

We’ll notify you immediately. If unresolved, access to the unit may be temporarily revoked.

 

What if I need maintenance?
Email the property as soon as an issue occurs. If relocation is required, we'll take care of it as quickly as possible without charge to you.

How do I cancel my stay?

You can cancel anytime by logging into your account at placemakr.com. Head to your reservation details and select “Cancel Reservation.”

 

Just a heads up: Cancellation policies vary by property and rate type—including some non-refundable options—so be sure to check your confirmation email for the details that apply to your stay.

What is Placemakr's extended stay policy?

Our Monthly Stay Rate is designed for extended stay guests staying 28 nights or more at a Placemakr property. It offers the best value for long-term stays, flexible monthly installment payments, and complimentary weekly housekeeping. Long-term guests also enjoy full access to all property amenities. In addition to agreeing to Placemakr’s Terms and Conditions, extended stay guests are subject the following policy requirements:


Cancellations or Reservation Changes

  • The first 28 nights of your stay must be prepaid and are refundable only if cancelled by 4pm on the date that is 28 days before the check-in date
  • If you cancel after 4pm on the date that is 28 days before check-in, your first 28-night payment will be retained as a deposit, and any future payment installments will be halted
  •  If you cancel after check-in but before your next payment installment is due, no refund will be issued for your first 28-night payment.
  • Once you’ve completed your initial 28-night minimum stay, you may cancel your booking at any time upon at least 7 days’ written notice before your next payment date to receive a prorated refund for any unused nights in that billing cycle.

Unit Access & Maintenance
Placemakr requires access to each unit at least once every 7 days for complimentary housekeeping and standard room checks. Guests may decline housekeeping services, but Placemakr still reserves the right to enter the unit to ensure it is properly maintained and in good condition. Maintenance issues must be reported promptly.


Additional Details

  • Room access will end automatically on your scheduled check-out date at 11am unless other arrangements have been agreed to in writing with Placemakr
  • Note: The policy for this rate plan is subject to all applicable local consumer laws. Refunds or exceptions will not be granted or issued for unforeseen circumstances or unexpected events including but nor limited to changes in travel plans, medical or family emergencies, weather events, or work-related travel changes.

 

Property Damage
Guests are responsible for maintaining their unit and its furnishings in good condition throughout their stay. If damage is found mid-stay, Placemakr will notify the guest immediately and the guest will be responsible for all repair or replacement costs. Failure to provide payment upon notice from Placemakr may result in early termination of the guest’s stay. If a guest’s stay is terminated pursuant to the immediately preceding sentence, Placemakr will charge the guest’s credit card for such damages and reimburse the guest for any unused nights following their departure.

Verification & Occupancy

  • All extended stay guests must complete identity verification before arrival

  • Reservations not verified by the day before arrival may be cancelled in Placemakr’s discretion, and the initial 28-night deposit will be retained. Last minute reservations for same-day arrival must still complete verification before check-in

  • Any additional occupants to the unit must be verified and added to the reservation before move-in

  • No guest may take over a reservation; a new reservation must be created under the new guest’s name

Payments & Delinquency

  • Delinquent payment installments must be cured before the next payment installment date
  • If a payment is not made and the delinquency is not resolved, Placemakr may temporarily revoke unit access until payment is settled
  • Reservations cannot be extended with an unpaid balance
  • Refunds, when applicable, are issued only to the original credit card used to book the guest’s stay
  • Installment cycles cannot be reset mid-stay

Pets

  • All pets must be disclosed in advance, including ADA animals

  • Undisclosed pets may result in immediate fines under Placemakr’s pet policy

  • Pets not permitted at the property will result in immediate removal without refund

No-Show

  • If the guest has not arrived by midnight on the day of arrival and has not contacted the property, the reservation will be cancelled and the first 28-night payment retained

Extended Absence

  • Guests must notify the property if they will be away from the unit for more than 3 days for safety and emergency access purposes

Immediate Removal

The following may result in immediate removal and retention of the current installment payment:

  • Failure to disclose property damage

  • Hosting parties or events

  • Unauthorized subletting or re-renting the unit

  • Threats to guests or staff

  • Suspected criminal activity
