Our Approach

Management 

We sign long-term property management agreements with owners to operate their entire building as part of the Placemakr platform. Our objective: flexing an asset to achieve its highest and best use. Additionally, our team can offer upfront technical services to help owners navigate regulatory, financing, design, and construction management. We support you in building the infrastructure needed for a multiuse building - creating greater value to your asset.

Pop-up Hotels

We structure short-term partnership agreements with developers to monetize their vacancy during the lease-up phase of newly constructed apartment buildings. We operate 25–45% of a building’s units as furnished rentals at the opening, with stays ranging from one night to one year. All the profit created during this temporary phase is shared between Placemakr and our developers. We don’t sign master leases, so our developer partners can participate in the upside our projects generate.

Investments

Placemakr launched its real estate investment arm in 2021 and has since acquired $250M of property in partnership with institutional equity partners and lenders. The Placemakr Investments team manages all facets of the deal cycle, including opportunity sourcing, investment underwriting, and deal execution.

The team is composed of industry veterans with deep backgrounds in acquisitions, development, asset management, and brokerage across all major asset classes.
