As the world’s most awarded pub, The Dead Rabbit lives up to its reputation with a top-notch cocktail menu, exceptional food, and Victorian-era ambiance. They also serve an impressive beer, wine, and alcohol list.  

Happy hour, from 5-7 pm features $1 oysters and specialty priced cocktails, so if you’re a self-proclaimed cocktail connoisseur, this place is a must.  

3. Harry’s

If you’re looking for an affordable fine-dining experience, one of the best restaurants in FiDi is Harry’s. A trusted institution since 1972 in the heart of Wall Street, Harry’s is a family-own establishment, steakhouse, and go-to venue for midday business meetings (over delicious steaks) or after-work drinks with colleagues.  

A restaurant that prides itself on serving exquisite in-house dry-aged steaks, thoughtfully sourced from a purveyor they’ve trusted since 1974, Harry’s is continually striving for a balance between timeless elegance and contemporary comforts. 

Harry's is the perfect spot for a date night with its stylish yet elegant atmosphere, vast selection of wines and signature cocktails, as well as its exquisite menu featuring a range of delicious dishes from soup and salad to pasta, fish and seafood, and steak and chops. It's no wonder Harry's is known as one of the best restaurants in FiDi. 

4. The Cauldron

If you're seeking an extraordinary happy hour experience in FiDi, look no further than The Cauldron. Using only the freshest locally-sourced ingredients, The Cauldron ensures that every sip is a delightful journey for the taste buds.  

Along with seasonal cocktails, mocktails, wine, and beer, The Cauldron’s menu is brewing with signature potions and enchantments, drink specials, creative shots, and shareable cauldrons of potion blends. Bubbling over with delicious deals, their happy hour – or “Witching Hour” as they call it – offers a significant discount on drinks and occurs Wednesday-Friday from open to 5:30 or 6:30 pm. The Cauldron also offers a small selection of bites, perfect to share between friends.     

To take it one step further, the potion bar itself offers cocktail making – or “potion making” –classes, where participants can delve into a world of potion crafting and create their very own molecular signature cocktail or mocktail drink with the assistance of their skilled "wizard mixologists.” Although this fantastic opportunity is not part of the FiDi Happy Hour, it is definitely worth considering for a truly magical experience. 

5. Trinity Place

Trinity Place stands out among FiDi’s most unique bars and restaurants. As you step inside, the allure of an antique bank vault door, once owned by the renowned Andrew Carnegie, greets you (luckily, no need to crack it open — it's already accessible). The eatery, set in a converted bank vault, still has its original vault doors dating back to 1904.  

While not an extravagant establishment in the FiDi, it serves as an ideal spot for a relaxed gathering with delicious apps and entrees, with both gluten-filled and gluten-free options. Known for bringing contemporary touches to traditional fare and creating new and innovative dishes, Trinity Place only serves the best quality, seasonal, always fresh ingredients from local producers, as seasons allow. 

For those looking to save a few bucks, Trinity Place reigns as one of FiDi's top restaurants for happy hour delights. Though the selection is modest (burrata and empanadas), it provides ample variety to indulge and unwind on a budget. Enjoy $10 cocktails, wines by the bottle, and buckets of beer galore! Happy hour runs from Monday to Friday, 3-5 pm.
